JKX Oil & Gas Group CEO Andriy Pasishnyk met with the Montenegrin Minister of Mining, Oil and Gas, Admir Šahmanović to discuss promising opportunities in the country's oil and gas sector. The meeting, held at the invitation of Minister Šahmanović, centered on potential partnerships to support Montenegro's energy security and bolster the country's strategic energy reserves.
Pasishnyk emphasized JKX Oil & Gas Group's extensive expertise, noting the company’s 30-year track record in successful gas and oil projects across Ukraine, Hungary, and other regions. He expressed the Group’s readiness to engage in Montenegrin projects, including hydrocarbon exploration and extraction initiatives on the Adriatic shelf, an area highlighted for its considerable energy potential.
The conversation also covered JKX Oil & Gas Group’s interest in supporting Montenegro’s strategic initiatives, including the establishment of state reserves for oil and oil products – a project proposed by the Montenegrin government to enhance national energy resilience.
Both parties underlined the value of collaboration between government entities and private companies in achieving shared energy objectives. Pasishnyk expressed JKX Oil & Gas’s commitment to ongoing dialogue and cooperation with the Montenegrin Ministry of Mining, Oil, and Gas, reaffirming the company’s support for Montenegro’s energy initiatives and its dedication to promoting regional energy security and sustainability.
