Novo-Nikolaevskoye Complex

Ignatovskoye
The Ignatovskoye field lies in the centre of the Novo-Nikolaevskoye Complex and was the first field to be developed by JKX.
The main field is an uplifted fault block containing Devonian sandstone and overlaying Carboniferous Tournasian sandstone and limestone. On top of that is a Carbonate reef build-up of Visean age.
Black oil is found in the Devonian sandstone and lower parts of the Tournasian and Visean reservoirs. The oil is overlain by a rich condensate baring gas cap and the Visean channels can therefore be oil or gas bearing.
Evaluation of two additional structural trends continues, one to the west and one to the south-west of the main field.
