We are an integral part of the communities in which we operate and are determined to play our part through financial donations as well as practical support. All our operations are managed with local interests in mind, thereby increasing public confidence in the integrity of our assets and underlining our commitment to HSEC performance.
Stakeholder engagement
We recognise that our stakeholders include local communities, government (national, regional and local), NGOs, inter-governmental organisations, academics, investors, the media and employees. While we have always aimed to be open and transparent in all that we do, we implement a strategic approach to building relationships.
There are genuine risks in failing to recognise and respond to the concerns of our stakeholders which can translate into real business and opportunity costs.
Investors
Our Board regularly meets and interacts with investors. The Board places considerable importance on communication with shareholders and addresses investors’ questions on all aspects of corporate responsibility, in person or in writing.
