JKX has a 50%  interest in the Hajdunanas discovery following the exploration success of the first exploration well which was spudded in May 2008.  The well successfully tested gas from three levels, two Pannonian sand intervals and one Miocene fractured volcanoclastic sequence.   A further appraisal well whch was spudded in November 2008 encountered a thicker sequence of Pannonian sands.  Two drillstem tests were completed and tested with a combined flow rate of 15 MMcfd.  Gas quality is excellent and requires minimal processing before export. A development plan was submitted to the Hungarian authorities.  First gas is expected 3Q 2009.

In November 2008, JKX farmed in for a 33.3% interest in 120 sq. km. of the adjacent Nyirseg licence operated by PetroHungaria. 3D seismic is being acquired over the area with exploration drilling scheduled for late 2009.
