The Novo-Nikolaevskoye field lies 3km to the west of Ignatovskoye.  Previous exploration of this area by Ukrainian state companies targeted the Tournasian carbonates although with little success due to the variable nature of the reservoir.

Well N9 continues to produce oil and gas from the shallower Visean sandstone and a number of potential targets have been identified from further seismic processing and re-interpretation.  An infill well, N71, was drilled in 2008 and production commenced in the lower most of the two Visean sandstone reservoirs.
