The Ignatovskoye field lies in the centre of the Novo-Nickolaevskoye complex and was the first field to be developed by JKX. It accounted for the majority of the Group’s production until 2005 when it was overtaken by production from the Molchanovskoye field.

During 2007, three new deviated development wells were drilled successfully and brought on stream. Two further wells were drilled during the period as part of the evaluation programme and are awaiting acid stimulation.
